PROGRAMS

The academy offers various opportunities for development led by USAB Gold Certified Coaches through camps, shooting clinics, AAU and Travel teams, and programs designed specifically for student-athletes in grades K-12. The academy works with novice to advanced basketball student-athletes. Our programs are designed for student-athletes to learn about the game of basketball and take their skills to the next level on and off of the court. We believe that excellence comes from within by doing the hard work in the classroom, on the court, and for the love of the game. You have to want it more and work harder than the other team.

Travel Teams

The Central PA Lions organization is a travel basketball program coached by USAB Gold Certified Coaching Staff. The travel teams within this program participate in high level tournaments and college showcases within Pennsylvania and surrounding states. Student-athletes and families should expect to practice bi-weekly, have weekend workouts (optional), and participate in 5-7 high level tournaments. The Central PA Lions welcomes student-athletes to tryout for their 2024-2025 tournament season.

Tryouts will be held on the following dates:

Sunday, October 19th, 2024
- 8:00am-9:00am, Grades 3-6 (Boys)
- 9:00am-10:30am, Grades 7-12 (Boys)
- 11:00am-12:00pm, Grades 7-12 (Girls)
- 12:00pm-1:00pm, Grades 3-6 (Girls)
- - ***Note: Registration Packet due by Saturday, October 7th, 2024 for this tryout

Sunday, February 16th, 2025
- 8:00am-9:00am, Grades 3-6 (Boys)
- 9:00am-10:30am, Grades 7-12 (Boys)

- 12:00pm-1:00pm, Grades 3-6 (Girls)

Tryouts will be held at the Philipsburg-Osceola Middle School located at 200 Short Street Philipsburg, PA 16866.

The non-refundable fees are as follows:

$400 (individual)
$700 (2 person family)
$1,050 (3 person family)

The registration fee is non-refundable and is due upon enrollment in the program and no later than February 28th, 2025. As a team, we will be conducting fundraisers for our program. The fundraiser opt-out fee is $200.on-refundable fee for student-athletes to participate in the program.
